Three levels of security

Your private keys are never stored on a single component in this hardware wallet, but are distributed across three independent chips from different manufacturers. The core is the TROPIC01 – according to Trezor, the world's first fully verifiable Secure Element, whose functionality can be publicly traced, instead of having to rely on a closed NDA component. It is complemented by a certified EAL6+ Secure Element (Optiga) and an STM32U5 microcontroller. In addition, the firmware is built to be post-quantum-resistant: firmware updates, device authentication, and the startup process are verified with the SLH-DSA-128 signature scheme, standardized in 2024, so that only verified updates are accepted – even with a view to future quantum computers.

Display & processing

The largest and brightest color display to date in a Trezor wallet measures 2.5 inches, has a resolution of 520 x 380 pixels, and reaches 700 nits brightness – according to the manufacturer, 62% larger than the Trezor Safe 5. A Gorilla® Glass 3 display protects against scratches, and a reinforced, NCVM-coated glass back additionally provides a robust metallic finish that does not impair Bluetooth and wireless charging. The casing is made of anodized aluminum, milled from a single block – for a full metal casing without seams. IP54 certification also protects against dust and splash water.

Wirelessly connected, long-lasting

As a hardware wallet with Bluetooth, you connect the device via Bluetooth 5.0+ to your smartphone, laptop, or desktop – every command and transaction is encrypted via the open Trezor Host Protocol (THP). If you prefer to stay wired, simply use the included USB-C cable; the wireless connection can be deactivated in the settings at any time. Charging is wireless via Qi2 or via USB-C. The built-in LiFePO₄ battery (3.2 V, 330 mAh) is considered particularly durable and thermally stable by Trezor and offers up to 4x more charging cycles than conventional lithium batteries – even with an empty battery, the wallet remains fully usable via the USB-C cable.

As a versatile crypto hardware wallet, the device supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and thousands of other coins & tokens and can be seamlessly connected via WalletConnect to over 70,000 dApps and more than 30 third-party wallet apps such as MetaMask, Rabby, or Backpack – practical for anyone who not only securely stores but also actively works with their crypto portfolio. For wallet recovery, 12-, 20-, and 24-word backups are available, as well as an extended multi-share backup; Coin Control and Tor support offer additional privacy. Thanks to FIDO2 support, the device can also be used as a two-factor authentication.

Is the Bluetooth connection secure?
Yes. Both Bluetooth and USB-C connections run over the open-source Trezor Host Protocol (THP), which encrypts every command. The wallet remains invisible to unknown devices and only connects to trusted devices. If you prefer to rely entirely on cables, simply deactivate Bluetooth in the settings.

What does "post-quantum-resistant" mean for a hardware wallet?
It means that critical processes such as firmware updates, device authentication, and the startup process are already secured with post-quantum cryptography (SLH-DSA-128). According to Trezor, this is intended to thwart future attacks with powerful quantum computers, without you having to replace the device.
